Germany Recolor (Blue Uniform) WIP

I don't know why . . . Don't ask.

So, I noticed that Germany is often depicted in a blue uniform in Hetalia (I'm not sure I've ever actually seen him in a different colored uniform. ), but Hana's model has a green one . . . Basically, this was both a test of my new version of GIMP, and my ability NOT to throw my computer across the room after getting blue where it's not supposed to go about ten times . . .

Sorry, even if you ask, I won't trade him, but I'll tell you how to make him.

1.) Get GIMP, if you don't have it already. (It's free to download and I have yet to have any virus issues with it, and I've downloaded it several times.)

2.) Go to you Germany model file in MikuMikuDance, right click the .tga file that is his uniform and select "Open With" or its equivilent on your computer, and select GIMP to open it with. (It helps if GIMP is installed on your desktop, as all you have to do is click the icon and tell it to open it, instead of sorting through folders.)

3.) Once it is open, select a brush to use to recolor it. (I recommend a square or rectangular one. The flat edge helps with not getting the color in the white parts of his sleeves.)

4.) Select a Gradient to recolor with. (I used on of the blues in Abstract 1 for this picture. The Gradients tab is in the same window as your brushes. It's two over to the right from the brush tab.)

5.) In the Toolbox window, set the brush's opacity to around fifty or so. (I used 53.3 for this picture. No specific reason, that's just how it ended up working out.)

6.) CAREFULLY use one SOLID stroke to cover the entire area you want to recolor. If you can't, make sure you use the PENCIL instead of the BRUSH so you get solid edges. If you overlap the strokes, the color changes and won't look right.

Also, please note that this is NOT the exact color of Germany's blue uniform. This was done on a whim without a reference.
